About FC Petrolul Ploiești
Founded in 1924, FC Petrolul Ploiești has a rich history and legacy in the Romanian football liga division. The squad has won several titles in the Romania national leagues. FC Petrolul amassed the results, points and goals which led to four League 1 championships, three Romanian Cups, and reached the quarter-finals of the European Cup in 1963. A number of other titles secured in League 2 and 4, reaching the final of both the Romanian Cup and Romanian Supercup as well. Over the years, the club has produced many talented players who have gone on to achieve success at both domestic and international country levels.
